Why Kale? Kale is one of the most nutrient enriched vegtables available and can be found in most grocery stores, so why not? Below is a Strawberry and Kale Smoothie recipe that I am sure will have everyone talking even those that are not big on veggies.
The strawberries and greek yogurt are the perfect combination for the Kale and offer a great contrast in texture. To make this scrumptious nutrient filled smooothie you will need the following:
1 cup of tightly packed kale, washed and chopped
1 cup of fresh or frozen strawberries
1 cup of non-fat or low-fat vanilla Greek yogurt
up to 1 cup of ice
* Makes 1-2 servings
As always blend all ingredients until desired consistency is reached.
