While on the search for something sweet and savory I came across several smoothies that I found yummy and combined them and edited them to come up with this recipe. It is so delicious and perfect for those moments when I want nothing more than a few Reese’s and a glass of milk. I was afraid that the banana would take away from the taste of sinful decadence, but much to my surprise the flavor was covered by the cocoa and peanut butter, yet it provided the perfect texture when mixed with the chocolate and peanut butter duo. To create this sinful yet healthy treat you will need the following ingredients:
1 large frozen banana (To freeze, peel the banana, chop in quarters, wrap in plastic wrap or plastic bag and freeze.)
1 cup vanilla soy milk
1 1/2 Tbsp. chunky peanut butter , such as Smart Balance
1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. cocoa powder , such as Hershey’s Natural Cocoa
1/2 tsp. of honey
Then Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth, about 2 minutes.
